Antique Rockingham Glaze Art Pottery Bud Vase 4.5 Mottled Brown Green Stoneware Features: - Nice antique original art pottery bud vase - Features the classic Rockingham brown mottled glaze with hints of green and a lovely bud vase silhouette - From 1840 to 1900, U.S. factories, such as those in East Liverpool, Ohio, made a brown-glazed pottery called Rockingham. This characteristic brown mottled glaze is the result of a combination of glazes applied in a two-step process: the vessel was first dipped in a clear or yellow glaze, dried, then an iron-based brown glaze would be splattered or dripped onto the vessel. The roots of this style of stoneware originate from Swinton Pottery in England. - Approximate dimensions as photographed Condition: - Antique: This is a used antique item that shows wear commensurate with age as photographed.  See photos for detailed condition. ***Item comes from a smoke free, pet free environment.
