Vintage Fukagawa Seiji Arita Porcelain Iris Vase
Fukagawa Seiji
100.00 $
Description
This elegant baluster-form vase showcases a breathtaking, minimalist hand-painted motif featuring a vibrant yellow iris blossom (Hanashōbu) paired with gracefully sweeping underglaze green and blue calligraphic leaves. The artistry relies on strong vertical linework contrasted flawlessly against Fukagawa's legendary, ultra-pure white translucent porcelain body. The neck line and baseline are accented with traditional geometric borders and subtle red pinstripe details. The underside bears the iconic blue underglaze trademark of Mount Fuji and flowing water alongside the hand-painted mark 深川製 (Made by Fukagawa). It also retains its original metallic export sticker reading Purveyor to the Imperial Household, Fukagawa Porcelain.
