Exquisite Vintage Crown Devon Fieldings Art Deco 'Fairy Castle' Gold Gilded Vase

Exquisite iconic Art Deco Mattajade Fairy Castle vase by Crown Devon pottery of Staffordshire. This piece has wonderfully beautiful fairytale scenes and tall trees in a modernist, bright bold colour palette - giving it a magical quality. The ruby red lustre ground decorated with turreted castles on mountain tops with stylized trees circa 1930 was designed by Enoch Boulton, chief designer at Crown Devon in the 1920s-30s. There is a gold backstamp on the base along with the pattern number 2404 and an embossed number. This rare stunning vase beautifully demonstrates timeless elegance and is in amazing excellent vintage condition! The colors remain remarkably bright and crisp. Free from any chips, cracks, or restorations. There is very minor, standard vintage wear consistent with its 90+ year history.
