This is a beautiful wooden box crafted using Yosegi-zaiku, a traditional Japanese craft technique from Hakone.
Intricate geometric patterns are created by combining natural woods of different colors from Hakone, Japan, without the use of paints.
Features multiple traditional auspicious patterns:
* Asanoha (Hemp Leaf): Symbolizes growth and protection
* Ichimatsu (Checkerboard): Symbolizes continuity and prosperity
* Shippo (Seven Treasures): Symbolizes harmony and good relationships
The surface is made using a technique called zukubari, where thin, patterned wooden sheets are adhered to the box.
