Antique Forester & Hulme Pinafore Transferware Plate  Registered Design No. 128888  England, c. 1889  Beautiful late Victorian transferware plate by Forester & Hulme, an English pottery manufacturer active during the late 19th century.  The plate features the Pinafore pattern, with an intricate brown transfer-printed border accented by delicate floral sprays in soft blue, pink, green and brown. The cream-colored ground and detailed decoration give the piece wonderful antique character.  The reverse bears the distinctive Forester & Hulme bee backstamp, along with F & H, the pattern name PINAFORE, and Rd No. 128888. The registered design number dates the pattern to 1889, making this a wonderful example of late Victorian English transferware.
