Vintage Hollywood Regency Glass Compote Gold Tone Pedestal Bowl Hanging Prisms

Beautiful vintage Hollywood Regency-style pedestal compote / centerpiece bowl featuring an ornate clear patterned glass bowl on an elaborate antique gold/brass-tone metal base.  The dramatic pedestal has scrolling Rococo/Baroque-inspired detailing, floral and leaf accents, decorative feet and hanging faceted glass teardrop prisms. The clear bowl features a deeply dimensional geometric, fan and diamond-style pattern that catches and reflects the light beautifully.  A fantastic statement piece for a dining table, buffet, mantel, vanity or vintage glam interior. It could be displayed as a centerpiece, fruit or candy bowl, or simply as decorative art. Several prism drops are missing, and empty hanging hooks/wires can be seen beneath the bowl. The remaining prisms vary slightly in position and are included exactly as shown.  The metal base has authentic vintage patina, darkening, discoloration and surface wear.
