Habutae is a high-grade Janome-gasa. It features a durable canopy material called Habutae, made by layering thinly processed handmade Japanese paper and thin silk fabric over 44 light bamboo ribs.

The slender wooden handle, finished in black lacquer, is wrapped with rattan at the grip and fitted with a metal ferrule. Furthermore, a beautiful silk thread ornament inside the umbrella enhances its design.

Water resistance is improved by applying natural linseed oil and drying it in the sun, allowing you to use it with peace of mind even on rainy days. Please enjoy rainy days with all five senses, from the faint scent of linseed oil to the pitter-patter of rain on the umbrella.
