A beautiful Japanese dance umbrella with a red and yellow gradient.
It has been stored for about 40 years.
It is brand new and unused. This is how it looks when photographed, but I have inquired with a professional umbrella repairer about the possibility of the Japanese paper deteriorating and tearing due to oxidation when opened and closed. The inside has many threads stretched across it, and it seems that a new one would cost over 100,000 yen.
I was told that re-covering it would cost over 30,000 yen.
