Original illustrated dust jacket features colorful schoolboy artwork and the Grosset & Dunlap “Famous Tales of Adventure” series advertising on the back. Condition: Vintage pre-owned condition with expected wear from age and use. Hardcover remains attractive with light wear. Dust jacket has considerable edge and corner wear, small tears/chips, staining/discoloration and losses around portions of the edges and spine. Pages are noticeably toned/browned with age. Previous owner’s handwritten name and “1946” appear inside the front cover/endpaper area. Binding appears intact. Please review all photos carefully for exact condition. A charming vintage Indiana-related literary collectible and an especially appealing copy for display because the original illustrated dust jacket is still present.
