【Traditional Kokeshi Doll】Tsuchiyu Style, Made by Genji Imaizumi, Signed, Folk Toy, Antique

This is a traditional Kokeshi doll by Genji Imaizumi, a traditional craftsman from the Tsuchiyu lineage in Fukushima Prefecture.
This piece is a true beauty, featuring the distinctive janome (snake's eye) pattern on the top of the head, characteristic of the Tsuchiyu style, and vibrant, intricate pinwheel patterns adorning the body. Its dignified expression is captivating. The artist's signature, Genji, is inscribed on the bottom.
Mr. Imaizumi, who sadly passed away a few years ago, was known for his meticulous craftsmanship, and his works remain highly sought after among collectors.

● Condition:
There are no noticeable major scratches or cracks, but as this is a vintage item, there are minor scuffs and fading due to age, as well as the natural texture of the wood. We hope to pass this item on to someone who can appreciate its condition as shown in the photos.
It has been carefully stored, but is being sold to clear out my collection.
