Takamatsu Daruma Doll - Hokousan
Size: Height 14cm, Width 6cm
★Origin of Hokousan★
Long ago, there was a young girl who served a princess. However, the princess fell gravely ill... To cure her illness, the girl took the sickness upon herself and sailed away to a distant island in a boat.
Thanks to her sacrifice, the princess recovered safely, and people praised the girl, calling her Hokousan.
From this legend, it is said in Kagawa that if a child holds Hokousan once, their illness will be cured, and it has been cherished.
Furthermore, with its auspicious Pine, Bamboo, and Plum kimono pattern and gentle expression, it is passed down to the present day as a lucky charm item.
