This is a complete set of a 10-inch Dutch oven made by SOUTHFIELD. SOUTHFIELD is an original brand of the sporting goods store Alpen.
- Dutch oven body and lid (10-inch (approx. 25cm) is a size that can fit a whole chicken, making it easy to use on a home stove and highly versatile. The lid can also be flipped over and used as a griddle.
- Lid lifter: A dedicated tool for safely lifting the hot, heavy lid.
- Trivet (stand): Used to stably place the pot over charcoal or other heat sources.
- Storage carry bag: A dedicated bag for carrying the entire set. (The zipper pull is missing and has been temporarily repaired, but it opens and closes without issue.)
Basic Usage and Care
As this product is made of cast iron, proper maintenance is required for long-term use.
Seasoning: Not necessary as it has been used.
Post-use care:
Clean off dirt with hot water and a scrub brush without using detergent.
Heat on the stove to completely evaporate moisture.
While still hot, thinly coat the entire surface with vegetable oil such as olive oil for protection.
Storage: Store in a well-ventilated area to prevent rust.
