Karu-sama Traditional Craftsman Hakuya Seibei, Artist-made, Baked Foil, Raden (Abalone Inlay) Craft, Raden Foil, Fukuro Obi (Kimono Sash), Pure Silk, Beautiful

This is a precious fukuro obi (a type of Japanese sash) from Hakuya Seibei, a traditional craftsman specializing in gold leaf.
This fukuro obi is woven with Japanese paper incorporating techniques of yaki-haku (baked gold leaf) and raden-haku (mother-of-pearl gold leaf). The unique gradation of the gold leaf is truly a testament to the artisan's skill.
It has been used about twice, but since it's not worn frequently, I'm offering it to someone who can make better use of it.

This fukuro obi can be worn with formal kimonos for ceremonies such as houmongi (semi-formal kimono), tsukesage (semi-formal kimono), and iromuji (plain colored kimono). However, as it features only a gradation without a distinct pattern, I believe it will easily match any kimono. It is made of pure silk. The sheen of the silver leaf and silk creates a very elegant obi.
