Repaired, Sakura bisque doll, in box, Taisho-Showa era, antique, 23cm, sleep eyes

This is a Sakura Bisque bisque doll, made in Japan and cherished from the Taisho to early Showa periods.
Although the doll had noticeable damage and facial dirt accumulated over many years, it has now been carefully restored with cleaning, re-stringing, and hair reattachment.
Furthermore, the clothing has been newly created from scratch, starting with pattern making.
We wish to pass this doll, who has regained her lovely appearance from that era, to someone who will cherish her.

❋ Restoration and Condition
Face and Makeup: The entire face was washed and cleaned. The faded eyebrows were redrawn, and natural rouge was applied to the lips and cheeks using mineral pigments. The eyes were given a moist sheen.
Body Care: After removing all clothing and cleaning the body, the elastic in the limbs was replaced with new material. The sleep eye mechanism operates smoothly and is in good condition.
Hair Styling: As the original hair had deteriorated, human hair was added over the original. Please understand that this is the work of an amateur, and there may be imperfections in the finish.
Currently, the hair is styled in a slightly longer bob, but it can be trimmed to your preference. The black hair beautifully complements the pure white skin.

❋ Clothing
Dress and Bonnet: Using supple Kinsha (fine silk gauze) kimono fabric, a dress with a modern, large floral pattern and a matching large bonnet were created.
Footwear: New socks were made to fit the small feet, and silk ribbons are tied.
Undergarments: The original undergarments were washed and put back on.

❋ About the Box
The original box was severely damaged, but it has been internally repaired with old thick paper to preserve its original texture. The doll will be carefully delivered in this box.

❋ Size
Height: Approximately 23 cm
Height (including bonnet): Approximately 27 cm

❋ To prevent damage to the eye mechanism, the head will be packed with soft paper for shipping. Please gently remove this paper when you wish to enjoy the sleep eye function.

We hope that this doll, who once fell into slumber, will once again shine as someone's treasure. We would be delighted if someone who appreciates the warmth of handmade items could take her home.
