This is a Kimekomi Ichimatsu doll handmade by my mother using her wedding kimono.
My parents had their wedding ceremony and reception at my father's family home in 1952.
My mother often told me that this wedding kimono was a treasured item that my grandfather, who passed away when I was young, diligently searched for and purchased during the post-war era when resources were scarce.
My mother made three Kimekomi dolls using this wedding kimono.
This Ichimatsu doll is the largest among them.
The height, including the base, is 48cm.
