Aranjuez Takamine No. 6 Kono Stamp 1977 Solid Top Vintage

This guitar was produced at the Takamine workshop under the supervision of the renowned Japanese master, Kenji Kawano, in the 1970s. Particularly, works from around 1977 strongly reflect Kawano's design philosophy, and the Kawano Stamp on the label is a notable mark of his supervision.

Furthermore, this guitar is a collaboration production where the body was made by the Takamine workshop, and the soundboard (top) and final finishing/adjustment were handled by Kawano's workshop or skilled craftsmen. The No. 6 model being offered is positioned at an advanced level and features rosette and purfling designs similar to his higher-end No. 7 model and his personal production line.

Additionally, models from 1978-1979 onwards often lack the Kawano stamp, making this 1977 model with the stamp particularly valuable as a vintage instrument.

The materials appear to be: solid cedar with tight grain for the top, rosewood with beautiful straight grain for the sides and back, sturdy mahogany for the neck, ebony for the fingerboard, and straight-grained rosewood for the bridge. The combination of cedar and rosewood produces the characteristic sweet and powerful tone of Kawano guitars.

Although 49 years have passed since its production, the guitar remains in good condition with only a few minor dings on the top. It is currently strung with trial strings, so you can play it immediately.

We kindly present this Aranjuez Takamine No. 6 with Kawano Stamp guitar, a rare and highly valuable piece that is seldom found today, to all guitar enthusiasts.
