This is a large formal kimono for Ichimatsu dolls, made from antique fabric. Suitable for a size 15, approximately 52cm doll.

While Ichimatsu doll kimonos are typically in cute red or noble purple, this calm green tone is quite rare.

The base color is a subtle Japanese hue, like thinned matcha with a hint of beige, and the pattern is also toned down to match.

It has a modest and elegant image, suitable for occasions like tea ceremonies, and truly embodies what it means to be a show-stopping garment.

It's natural to want to dress a beautiful doll in something flashy, but once you've had your fill, consider this chic option as a second outfit.
I tried it on the Koryusai doll I have listed for sale.

The outer fabric is a thin chirimen (old fabric). There are very small pinholes scattered throughout, and some damage (tears) on the back.
These are likely original to the fabric, and we recommend this item for those who are accustomed to antiques.

There are no dressing wrinkles, and the basting threads are mostly intact.
However, due to being stored in a drawer for a long time, there are storage wrinkles.

It is lined with a double layer and has an under-kimono. The body lining is cotton, the hachikake (lower lining) is egg-yellow chirimen, the layered hem is red chirimen, and the sleeves are double-layered. The second sleeve is a chirimen construction with a lining of red silk.
A red chirimen collar is layered, allowing it to be worn as is, but adding a half-collar will create a more formal look around the neck (example shown in photos).

Overall, the tailoring is very meticulous, and good quality fabric has been used.
