2001 Maisto Tailwinds Series VI AV-8B Harrier die-cast military aircraft in its original sealed packaging.  This miniature represents the legendary AV-8B Harrier used by the United States Marine Corps, and the aircraft itself is marked MARINES across the wing.  Often nicknamed the jump jet, the AV-8B Harrier was an incredibly distinctive Marine Corps attack aircraft because of its Vertical/Short Takeoff and Landing (V/STOL) capability. This allowed the Harrier to operate from locations where conventional military jets could not, including amphibious ships and expeditionary sites.  The Harrier had a long history with Marine aviation and saw service in major combat operations including Desert Storm, Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom.
