1986 ASTURIAS AST 60 Classical Guitar Gut Guitar

This is the AST 60 handcrafted classical guitar from Asturias, a prestigious workshop in Kurume City, Japan.

Guitars from this period by Asturias have a thicker body top of approximately 3.5mm, compared to the usual 2-2.5mm.
This results in a very deep and rich tone.

Confirmed to be manufactured in 1986 based on the serial number (11106).
At that time, Asturias had about 15 skilled craftsmen involved in production, and guitars from this period are of very high quality.
This is also a valuable piece of Japan Vintage from a time when high-quality wood was used.
The label bears the signature of master craftsman Wataru Tsuji.
This is a rare model without binding on the back of the body.

Measured at the 12th fret:
1st string: Approx. 3.0mm
6th string: Approx. 4.0mm

Although this is a 40-year-old guitar without a truss rod, the neck condition is good and adjusted to ideal standard values for a classical guitar.
- The surface is in very clean condition with no noticeable scratches, as it was used for fingerpicking.
- There is some slight cloudiness on the sides and back, but it does not affect playability or sound quality. Please check the photos.
- Fret wear is almost non-existent.
