Description
FONTANINI Nativity Set 4 pieces: Mary, Joseph, Jesus, Manger 5 scale New Old Stock (unopened original packaging) Packaging has a blue background with stars Figures are trimmed with gold accents, which adds a subtle distinction to show that this is the Holy Family. Joseph holds a staff with blooming white flowers, referencing the legend that his staff burst into bloom to show that God had chosen him to be Mary's husband. Baby Jesus is separate from the manger so that He can be added on Christmas Day, if preferred. I believe this design was produced in the 1990s. Made in Italy and hand-painted. This set would be a lovely addition to a larger Fontanini display, though just as beautiful to display on its own!
