Vintage 1950s Harry Levine H-L USA Black Silk Satin Evening Clutch Rhinestone

Elegant vintage Harry Levine H-L U.S.A. evening clutch, believed to date to the 1950s–1960s.  This beautiful structured formal handbag features a black silk/satin exterior with dimensional pleated satin trim across the front.  The standout detail is the ornate sculptural gold-tone clasp accented with clear rhinestones, giving the bag a glamorous Mid-Century/Old Hollywood look.  The interior is finished in lustrous peach/salmon satin and bears the H-L U.S.A. maker's mark.  It also retains its coordinating peach satin kiss-lock coin purse, attached inside by its cord.  The structured frame remains sturdy, and both the frame and rhinestone clasp work beautifully and close securely.  Approximate Measurements: Width across top: 9 3/4 Width across bottom: 11 1/2 Height: 5 7/8 Depth: 1 1/2  Good vintage condition with expected signs of age and previous use. There are some areas of surface discoloration/marks on the black fabric and spotting/marks to the interior lining. Gold-tone hardware has age-related wear. No attempt has been made to aggressively clean the vintage fabric.
