This is a filigree fan from Wang Xing Ji (おうせいき), a long-established fan manufacturer in Hangzhou, China.
Founded in 1875, this prestigious brand features incredibly fine and beautiful carved craftsmanship by artisans.
This is a vintage item acquired several decades ago, possessing a style and delicacy not found in recent mass-produced goods. When opened, it is instantly vibrant and makes a wonderful decorative piece for interiors, or a practical item to accompany kimonos and yukatas. When fanned, it seems to emit a faint, noble, and gentle fragrance reminiscent of sandalwood.
