White porcelain molded as a scallop shell with ribbed detail, hand-painted with pansy / violet floral bouquet in burgundy, pink, yellow and green, with gold gilt on tail and rim. • Mark: Red laurel wreath - HAND PAINTED / MADE IN JAPAN - bottom • Material: Porcelain / ceramic • Size: ∼5.75 long x 5 wide x ∼1.5 tall - see ruler photos • Colors: White with pink / burgundy / yellow flowers, green leaves, gold trim • Era: 1950s, post-Occupied Japan Excellent vintage condition — no chips or cracks. Light wear to gold gilt on tips and edge from age and use, as shown. Perfect as a ring dish, soap dish, jewelry dish, trinket dish, or bonbon / nut dish. Hand wash only - gold trim.
