Vintage German Sterling Silver & Crystal Swan Master Salt Cellar Set of 3 - #F

Add graceful antique elegance to a table or display with this set of three swan-form open salts, believed to have been made in Germany during the 1940s. The set includes one large master salt and two smaller individual salts, each featuring a sparkling crystal base and ornate pierced wings decorated with raised roses. Based on my research, the wings are believed to be .835-grade silver.  The two smaller swans have divided salt-and-pepper wells, while the large swan has one open well that could hold salt, another condiment, or small candies.  Approximate measurements:  Large swan: 5.5 inches long × 5 inches high × 3 inches wide  Small swans: 3 inches long × 3 inches high × 1.5 inches wide each  The set is in beautiful preowned condition with no chips or cracks observed. I gently cleaned the silver to reduce the tarnish, but some minor tarnishing remains. Please note that the large swan’s neck has separated slightly from the crystal base at the glued joint, apparently due to the adhesive softening during previous storage in a hot location.  I am not an expert on these pieces, and the age, origin, and silver details are based on the information I found while researching them.
