This is an 8-sun Nagoya obi made with Yaeyama Minsa weaving. The distinctive five and four-dot ikat patterns symbolize eternal happiness for all generations. This piece features a lovely combination of a muscat-like yellow-green and white base with a denim-colored accent. The ends have been finished, but the fold for the drum-shaped bow (o-taiko) has not been made, allowing you to hem it to your preferred length. There are signs of use where the obi has been folded in half lengthwise from both ends. If this is a concern, we recommend pressing or other care.
