This is a traditional craft from Nara, a Takayama Chasen (tea whisk).
Made from green bamboo, this is a single whisk with a medium-coarse tip!!
Green bamboo is made from freshly cut bamboo, so it will fade over time.
It is currently a vibrant green, but the color will become lighter as time passes, so we recommend purchasing it soon.
The medium-coarse tip is suitable for thick tea (koicha).
How about using it for practice?
It may also be usable for thin tea (usucha), but...
Since I always use it for thick tea, I have never actually used it for thin tea.
