*********************************************************
♪ This is a special grade chasen (tea whisk) from the 400-year-old traditional craft workshop Houchikuen in Takayama Town, Nara Prefecture. It is in almost unused condition.
♪ The size is approximately 12 cm in height and the widest part of the bristles is about 4.5 cm in diameter.
♪ This is a tea utensil made by finely splitting bamboo for whisking matcha. I believe there are about 80 bristles.
♪ Although there are some parts where the bristles are not perfectly aligned, it appears to be an item that has never been used based on its appearance (please judge from the photos).
♪ This item has been stored at home for many years. Please note that the clear case has some cloudiness.
♪ Takayama Chasen are said to be carefully handcrafted through all processes. They are a top-class share of domestic tea whisks and a masterpiece that Japanese culture is proud of ☆彡.
