This is a Kuro Shichirin (black charcoal grill) handmade by Sugimatsu Pottery, a craftsman in Hekinan City, Aichi Prefecture.

Sugimatsu's Kuro Shichirin is no longer in production and rarely appears on the market, making it an extremely difficult-to-obtain **legendary Shichirin.**

Unlike inexpensive Shichirin found at home centers, it is made with traditional Mikawa clay and diatomaceous earth, featuring significantly superior heat efficiency and heat retention.

I found and purchased this at a local pottery shop, but I've decided to sell it as I don't think I can fully utilize it.

It is unused, but there are some minor cracks and peeling on the bottom due to age.
