Description
This is keshi-zumi (partially burned charcoal). It is made from hardwood.
This charcoal is made by cutting off oxygen during the burning process before the wood is completely consumed, thereby extinguishing the fire.
Weight: 2.2-2.6 kg
Features:
- Softer than fully burned charcoal.
- Highly porous (many holes), allowing it to absorb water and air well.
- As fuel, it has less heat than regular charcoal and burns for a shorter time.
- Ideal for kindling as it ignites easily.
- Said to have soil conditioning and deodorizing effects.
Ash may still be present due to the nature of the product, even though we have removed most of it.
It is very fragile but does not affect its usability.
