About Toiro Kanto
Kanto refers to striped woven fabrics that were introduced from China (Ming Dynasty) and other regions during the Muromachi period. Among these, those that use many colors and are expressed vibrantly are called Toiro (Jusai) Kanto. The diverse color combinations, such as light blue, red-brown, light green, and dark brown, are a delight to the eyes.

Nishijin weaving is a patterned woven fabric created by dyeing the threads in advance before weaving, a technique known as senzome (pre-dyeing). This technique creates a unique depth of color and a sense of three-dimensionality.
