Vintage Peasant Village PV England Horse Carriage Ceramic Trinket Box 4"

A wonderfully nostalgic little English pottery box with the feel of an illustration pulled from an old storybook. Made in England for PV, or Peasant Village, the rectangular covered box features a lively horse-drawn carriage scene across the lid, rendered in rich brown, green, yellow and black against a warm cream ground. Fine green edging frames the lid, while a muted tan stripe circles the base. The compact size makes it an easy piece to layer into a collected interior—use it for rings and small jewelry on a dresser, stamps or clips on a desk, or simply as a decorative box on a bookshelf. Marked on underside Made in England for PV. Measures 4 long, 3.5 deep and 1.5 tall. In very good vintage condition with visible crazing, particularly along the sides/base, along with age-related discoloration, surface marks and wear. No chips or cracks observed in the provided photographs. Please review all photos for condition.
