Up for auction/purchase is a beautiful vintage ceramic decorative centerpiece basket, hand-painted exclusively for Macy's. This piece features a striking cobalt blue and crisp white floral design with a lovely central rose motif, accented by a beautifully molded woven/braided handle. The underside features the distinct hand-written artist inscription: Hand Painted for Macy's 1988 along with the item production numbers and Italy origin. Good vintage condition with vibrant glaze and no structural cracks. There is one minor, typical production-related rough spot/tiny flake on the bottom unglazed base rim (visible in the backstamp photo), which is completely hidden when the piece is sitting flat and does not affect display.
