Moravian Pottery‎ Tile Works Mercer Blue Cream Geometric Art Tile Vintage 4x4"

Moravian Pottery & Tile Works ceramic tile reproduction of an original Henry C. Mercer design. This square tile features a relief-molded geometric pattern with a central four-petal flower motif surrounded by concentric curved lines. The glaze is a striking combination of mottled blue and a pale, crackled cream or tan, which highlights the depth of the relief work. The edges and recessed areas show the natural reddish-brown clay body, characteristic of Mercer's Arts & Crafts style. Produced in Doylestown, PA, this piece maintains the historic integrity of the original 1897 production methods. It is a solid, heavy ceramic piece suitable for display or architectural use.
