1970s Vintage Philippines Rattan Lidded Basket Coconut Shell Floral Lid Boho

Beautiful vintage Made in the Philippines handwoven rattan basket with a removable decorative lid and wonderful warm, earthy coloring.  The standout feature is the unusual openwork lid, decorated with dark natural pieces that appear to be coconut shell, arranged in a dimensional flower or sunburst design. Golden cane wrapping contrasts beautifully with the darker woven rattan body. The basket retains its gold foil “Made in the Philippines” sticker, helping confirm its origin. Based on the materials, construction, styling and label, I believe this piece likely dates to the 1970s–1980s. A gorgeous little storage or display basket for a bohemian, organic modern, coastal, tropical or vintage eclectic interior. Perfect on a bookshelf, vanity, dresser or bathroom shelf.
