Vintage Linda Lighty Painted Folk Art Picnic Basket Americana Farm Sheep 16x12x9

Up for sale is a beautiful large vintage wood-splint picnic basket featuring a stunning, hand-painted primitive Americana farm scene on the split-top lid from the mid 70s. The artwork is hand-signed in the lower-left corner by celebrated folk artist Linda Lighty. The detailed landscape depicts a quintessential rural scene featuring a traditional saltbox house, yellow barn, red outbuildings, grazing sheep, ducks, and an early American flag. The lid features a gorgeous, crackle-glaze finish (craquelure). The basket itself is sturdily constructed from natural woven wood splints accented by a deep reddish-brown woven band that coordinates beautifully with the painted lid. It is equipped with dual swing handles and original metal hinges. This listing states ground advantage shipping, but I'm happy to ship FedEx home or UPS if that is less expensive to your region.
