Stunning vintage Mexican money clip featuring a detailed Aztec/Mayan warrior figure set against a rich mosaic inlay of genuine iridescent abalone shell and mother-of-pearl fragments. The front showcases hand-engraved scrollwork and geometric border detailing. Designed with a sturdy top hinge and strong back clip to hold bills securely. This was made in Mexico and stamped ALPACA MEXICO on the reverse. The material is Alpaca Silver (nickel alloy) & Genuine Abalone / Mother-of-Pearl Shell Inlay. It has a hinged fold-over top, Aztec / Mayan warrior mosaic motif, hand-etched detailing. It is in excellent vintage condition with natural light patina, intact shell inlay, and a strong, functional spring tension clip. Uncleaned to preserve authentic vintage character. A fantastic piece of Southwestern folk art history and a unique addition to any vintage men’s accessory or Mexican silver collection! This is an estate item.
