Description
This is a hand-woven wool textile with a repeating stepped meander motif in bands across the piece, in a warm earth-tone palette of pink, rust, sage green, mustard, and brown against a natural tan ground. The pattern and construction are consistent with Zapotec-style Southwestern weaving traditions, though there is no maker's label or tag present to confirm origin. Both ends finish in a long knotted cream fringe. Based on the tape measurements in the photos, the woven body measures approximately 17 inches wide by 22 inches long, not including the fringe.
