This saddle is for left-handed players and is compatible with Fender American Standard series Stratocasters and Telecasters manufactured approximately between 1986 and 2007 (there may be some exceptions, so please confirm compatibility yourself). Please understand this as well.

As you may know, these are saddles that are said to prevent strings from breaking. By the movement of the strings on this saddle, meaning through continuous playing, a thin Teflon film is created. This acts as a lubricant, preventing the strings from being excessively fixed to the saddle and spreading the load, which tends to concentrate on a single point, over a wider area. This is how this product makes strings less likely to break.
String Saver saddles are said to produce a deep and crisp tone, similar to that of vintage steel saddles, and consequently improve sustain. In fact, Eric Johnson, who favors a vintage tone, uses String Saver saddles on his 1st string, likely to mellow the sometimes harsh sound of the high strings on a Stratocaster while improving the tonal balance with the other strings.
