Description
Vintage Dutch Verkade biscuit/cookie tin featuring the striking “Falcon Hunt” (De Valkenjacht) design with a beautifully dressed woman riding a white horse, holding a falcon, accompanied by a running hunting dog. Embossed inside: “Koninklijke Verkade Fabrieken N.V. Zaandam-Holland.” Dating to approximately the 1950s–1960s, this colorful tin is a wonderful example of mid-century Dutch packaging and would make a distinctive addition to a collection of vintage tins, Dutch advertising, equestrian décor or falconry/hunting memorabilia. Approximate measurements: 8½” long × 6” wide × 2¼” high. Vintage pre-owned condition with age-related surface wear, scratches, edge wear and marks. There is a noticeable dent/crease on the lower-right area of the lid, shown clearly in the photographs. Interior also shows age-related wear and discoloration. Lid is removable and fits the tin. Please review all photographs carefully as they are part of the condition description.
