White Ceramic Duck Nest Figurine for Pets & Home Decor

Ceramic animal figurines and lidded dishes styled after barnyard creatures enjoyed immense popularity throughout the mid-to-late twentieth century. These whimsical pieces were frequently produced as novelty kitchenware, Easter table decorations, or small vanity trinket containers. Manufacturers often cast them in slip molds before hand-painting simple details like bills and eyes. Such decorative items became staples of gift shops and department store seasonal displays across America and Europe. They reflect a broader cultural affection for rustic, country-style home decor that emphasized charming, pastoral motifs. Today, these vintage ceramics are collected primarily for nostalgic display during the spring holidays. Nest has some wear with white spots.
