Tea Ceremony Utensil: Natsume (Tea Caddy) - Kodai-ji Maki-e

This is a Natsume, a container for matcha, which is one of the tea ceremony utensils. The design is a traditional style called Kōdaiji Makie.
Design Feature: Kōdaiji Makie
This pattern originates from the Makie style passed down at Kōdaiji Temple in Kyoto, which was built by Kita-no-Mandokoro (Nene), the principal wife of Toyotomi Hideyoshi, to mourn his passing.
Chrysanthemum and Paulownia Crest (Kikukiri-mon): The design of chrysanthemum flowers and paulownia leaves seen in the image is a major feature.
Seasonality: Chrysanthemums and paulownia are plants that symbolize autumn. However, because this design is stylized, it is considered a valuable tool in the tea ceremony that can be used year-round, regardless of the season.
Please understand that this is a personal item kept at home.
Immediate purchase is possible.
Currently, there is a matcha boom overseas, and
due to its purchase history in Nagoya and my mother's attachment to it,
it is listed at a high price.
Some price reduction is possible.
