Tea Ceremony Utensil, Natsume (Tea Caddy), Chamfered, Wooden, Zelkova Wood Grain, Lacquerware, Lacquer Art, Matcha, Tea Utensil, Beautiful Condition.

This is a tea ceremony utensil, a natsume (tea caddy) with a chamfered design. It is likely made of zelkova wood with a visible wood grain.
This is a type of cylindrical natsume where only the lid has a chamfered edge, referred to as men-tori (chamfered).
The wood grain is clearly visible. Fine, linear grooves are carved throughout the body.
The material is believed to be zelkova, but as there is no written record, this cannot be definitively stated.
Arabesque patterns are painted in gold on the chamfered part of the lid.
While not overtly flashy, it is an elegant utensil.
The box is inscribed with Hyakufuku Saku (Made by Hyakufuku).
Diameter: 6.5 cm Height: 7 cm
Comes in a paper box.

This is a used item that has been stored at home. We will sell it to those who understand this and wish to purchase it. Thank you.
