These are Japanese-made sandals from Nishibe Chemical Co., Ltd. in Nara Prefecture.
Although it's a relatively new addition to Nishibe Chemical's thong-style sandal models, the highly popular strongest beach sandals, the Sea San, are now available in size 3L!
While preferences may vary between this model and the No. 570 (Haha-jima Gyosan), we highly recommend them not only for outdoor activities like the beach and mountains but also for town and resort use.
The wide width ensures your toes fit securely on the footbed, and the integrated structure prevents the thong from coming off like on typical beach sandals. The thinner thong also makes them less likely to cause pain between your toes (individual differences may apply). Of course, like Gyosan sandals, they offer excellent grip.
