New, Rare, Hard-to-Find Item
Established in 1905, a long-established glass manufacturer
Joetsu Crystal Glass Co., Ltd. Tsukuyono Kobo
Suminagashi (Ink Marbling) Glass Matcha Bowl, Tea Ceremony Utensil, Tea Ceremony
Japanese Glass, Handmade Glass

Size: Approx.
Diameter 11.5 cm, Height 7.5 cm

The company operated Tsukuyono Vidro Park and was a prestigious manufacturer that supplied products to the Imperial Family and the Imperial Hotel. However, it ceased operations in October 2023. New products are no longer in general distribution, making this a valuable piece symbolizing their former high level of craftsmanship.

Hand-blown by skilled artisans, each piece has a unique expression.
Features the Suminagashi (ink marbling) technique, creating flowing glass patterns.
Uses transparent or overlaid glass in soft, cool green tones. The shape has a gentle, handmade glass-like undulation.
The exterior has a textured, undulating surface that changes its appearance with light reflection.
The wide opening and stable base make it easy to whisk matcha.

Can be used as a matcha bowl, a small bowl for summer cold dishes, or as tableware for salads and desserts.

The box is dirty and should be considered packaging material.
