◇ This book is by Eric Micheletti, a renowned editor of the French magazine RAIDS and an internationally respected expert on special forces. He provides a detailed explanation of the units deployed by the United States and NATO countries to the Afghanistan conflict, which began in 2001. These units include Delta, Green Berets, Rangers, SEALs, as well as Australian (SASR, 4RAR), New Zealand (SAS), Danish (Commando), Norwegian (Commando and Ranger), German (KSK), French (SSAG), Canadian (JTF-2), and others.

◇ The battlefield scenes are depicted in photographs taken by military public relations officers. However, the posed shots appear to have been taken in a photo studio with models wearing the gear, rather than by actual soldiers in the field.

◇ Although written in English, the book is primarily composed of photographs, making it easy to read. Furthermore, even though the equipment is over 20 years old, the basic styles and firearms, such as variants of the M4 and M16, are still in use today.
