These are knee pads from the XTAK series by Hatch, featuring an X-shaped protection shell.
The shell material, TPU, is a polymer compound that combines the supple elasticity of rubber with the toughness of hard plastic. It is fixed to the pad at three locations on the top and bottom, bending flexibly with knee movement.
The inside that contacts the knee uses the new material Coolmax, which absorbs and evaporates sweat five times faster than cotton, maintaining the body's comfortable humidity and lowering body temperature.
The straps are made of spandex, which has several times the tensile strength of rubber and stretches better than rubber.
