This is a natural, plain fabric bolt of Hama Tsumugi.
Hama Tsumugi is a Tsumugi silk fabric woven in Nagahama City, Shiga Prefecture, since the late Meiji period, utilizing the techniques of Hama Chirimen. It is characterized by its unique texture, which combines the rustic feel of Tsumugi with the suppleness of Chirimen, by using untwisted raw silk for the warp and Tsumugi yarn for the weft. It is popular among enthusiasts as stylish attire.

Upon close inspection, there are some small spots that resemble water stains in places, but since the base is white, we recommend dyeing it to your desired color.
