Vintage Japan Ceramic Dog Cookie Jar Holding COOKIES Sign Anthropomorphic

Charming vintage ceramic dog cookie jar marked JAPAN on the base. Features an anthropomorphic dog wearing a black and cream cap and holding a large COOKIES sign. The removable hat forms the lid. Finished in warm brown, yellow, cream and black with wonderful expressive hand-painted details. Measures approximately 9 inches tall. Please see measurement photo for exact dimensions. Condition: Pre-owned vintage condition with age-related crazing/crackling throughout the glaze, visible in the photos. This is surface glaze crazing associated with age and should not be confused with a structural crack. There is also normal age-related wear to the painted finish. Please review all photos carefully, including the interior, lid and base, as they form part of the description. A fun piece of vintage Made in Japan kitchenware and a great collectible for lovers of retro cookie jars, dogs and anthropomorphic ceramics.
