Lot of 2 regional Virginia focused historic community cookbooks. The Smithfield Cookbook : 350 Years of Dining Traditions from Smithfield and Isle of Wight County, Virginia - published by the Junior Woman's Club in Smithfield, VA. Plastic comb, spiral bound with yellow cardstock cover. Local recipes and historical culinary traditions spanning 350 years in Isle of Wight County, published in 1978. It does have some staining on the corner as shown in the photos. All recipes are legible. Used condition. This is a very sought after edition. Montpelier Hospitality: History, Traditions, and Recipes from the Home of James and Dolly Madison - published by the Montpelier Foundation. Released in 2002. It does include some folded up original recipes from the original owner inside that are not part of the book, but a neat little surprise addition. Good used condition.
