Description
About 8 years ago, I wanted to build the ultimate Stratocaster and searched all over the country for guitar workshops and guitar wood suppliers. I finally found this ultra-light ash Strat body at Yama Gakki in Matsumoto City, Nagano Prefecture.
It is said that the weight of a guitar is almost entirely determined by the weight of the body (as neck weights don't vary much).
This Strat body is undoubtedly one of the lightest I have ever seen.
Good tonewoods for guitars are currently scarce, and Yama Gakki no longer has this same lightweight wood.
I've given up on building it myself, but I'm offering it to someone who aims to create the ultimate lightweight Strat.
(The body was stored at a guitar workshop for 8 years.)
